Thomas Traceable
Big-Digit Thermometer, -58 to 158 degree F Probe
Specifications
Brand Name
: Thomas
Model : 4126
Product Description
The Thomas Traceable Big-Digit Thermometer
measures temperature in freezers, refrigerators, offices, and storage rooms.
The thermometer measures temperature from -50 to 70 degrees C (-58 to 158
degrees F), with an accuracy of + or - 1 degree C. The 0.8" temperature
sensor is attached to the base by a 10-foot cable and can be submerged. The LCD
display has 1-1/8"-high digits and shows both probe temperature and
ambient temperature. The minimum/maximum memory feature allows high and low
temperatures to be recorded for extended monitoring periods. The thermometer is
traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology standards,
indicating that it is calibrated to International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) 17025 levels. This Thomas thermometer is used to measure
temperature in food service, scientific laboratories, and industrial settings.

Digital thermometers are instruments used to
measure the temperature of air, liquids, or surfaces electronically. They may
measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Most digital thermometers
use thermistors, which are small electronic resistors. Thermistors are made out
of metals that conduct electricity within a certain range and become more
conductive the warmer they get. A microcontroller inside the thermometer
measures this electrical conductivity and converts it to a temperature, which
is displayed on an LCD. Digital thermometers are used in a wide range of
applications, including in laboratory settings, food service and storage, and
in doctors' offices and hospitals.
