Non-Destructive Wood Moisture Tester

This simple-to-use device allows the user to conduct accurate field testing of moisture
values on a variety of solid substances. Simply place the instrument on the object to be
measured and the moisture value is displayed in less than 3 seconds. Conventional
destructive tests are now obsolete!
The HM530 uses a high density coil to produce high frequency capacitance. Two aluminum
plates on the bottom of the unit generate the field. When placed on the test sample, the
changes in the dielectric constant is measured. When calibrated, this dielectric constant
is converted into a moisture value. Using pre-determined specific gravity settings for the
type of wood to be measured, the HM530 will automatically provide moisture values.
Adjustment may be made for thickness and temperature, including an utomatic temperature
correction mode. In addition, the integrated correction dial allows the system to be adjusted
to coincide with local standards.

Simple Operation
1. Set the Density, Penetration Depth, and Temperature Compensation
2. Place the HM530 on the surface to be tested.
3. Tests are easily repeatable **** simply lift the unit and place it back on the surface of
the wood.
